We're Gonna Win Tomorrow

That was bold wasn't it?

Don't read the matchup posts elsewhere - they're not worth your time. Who cares? Also, don't read message boards after the game. You're not going to be happy with some ambiguous stat line that bears no logical consequence to the rest of the season. It will be like eating a Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Pop-Tart and then reading the dietary information directly afterward.

"Wow, that was delicious, BUT IT HAD HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP IN THERE? AM I GOING TO DIE? AND SATURATED FAT? WHAT ABOUT THE 70g of CARBS? GLUTEN? FREE RADICALS? PROCESSED ACTINIDES AND STRONTIUM-90? I FEEL DIZZY, WHAZ THATFFELI IN Me StUMak?"

So, enjoy the game and look for the technical flaws in what is on display. Do we look crisp and have an effective gameplan? Are we gassed after the first series?

It's an overarching theme.

Just ask yourself, "Does this look like a swimming pool of oceanic white tip sharks who haven't smelled blood in 9 months and have just been delivered a fresh smattering of chummed body parts?"

If you can't say definitively "YES!" then diminish your expectations for next week... until Thursday, when you think we can beat the '85 Bears.

More on the Suspensions

Can the media please stop asking "So, do you have an update on the suspensions?"

I'm not one to think Richt to be the mean guy around, but he's just stopping short of telling everyone to "EFF OFF," which is about as delicately as I could put it at this point. The thing about the whole situation is, do any of the fans really care, or is this all about who's getting the scoop on how many games Baccari might sit out?

At this point, I'm very certain that absolutely no one cares who is wearing the jerseys out there Saturday as long as we have more points than Buffalo at the end of the game. I'd just want to see Shawn Williams out there grinding - the opposing team's bones into the dirt.

On a lighter note, I've heard Ramik Wilson has really shown out of late, so there's definitely a reason that he finds his name in the starting lineup. If I don't see a ton of Jordan Jenkins and Josh Dawson, I'll be very surprised as well.

Here's a little easy listening to get you in the mood for tonight's festivities... I can't hold back either, even though this video is complete crap.

WE'RE BAAAA-AAACK!

Kind of.

It's game week for the first time in a coon's age, so I thought this momentous occasion necessitated some sort of mentioning. For the loyal fans of the blog who noticed the lights went out around March, we apologize. Life gets busy, everyone with any sort of journalistic aspiration or affectation for the Dawgs starts a blog, and then the waters are muddied with the runoff of a thousand "experts" and "inside sources". Since they had it covered for a while, we decided to lurk in the reeds and wait for the a perfect time to strike.

Instead of striking, we crunched a stick and the potential quarry made it's way back into the lush and heavily concealed confines of the media jungle that is the last week of August. At some point, they'll find themselves back in the open and vulnerable to our trap and we'll snare them.

Maybe that isn't just now, but we're waiting.

Oh, and about that game Saturday....

The whole predator and prey thing I was alluding to earlier, well this is nature's version of what will happen Saturday. You know who's playing the parts.
