Tweet O' The Day: Guys Are Running in the Rain... For What?

The weather outside has been frightful for the past few days. 60 degrees and a steady, chilling rain spells out a nice day to sleep in. In fact, as I sit and type this little post, I'm soaking up some couch time in sweat pants and a hoody. I can't imagine how terrible it would be to be running outside during the last several days - especially at about 6:00 in the morning.

Well, unfortunately for Jay Rome and a few others, he found out how terribly awful that actually is about 24 hours ago (as of this posting)...

I don't know about you, but I think this is both good and bad at the same time. It's good that there are consequences for breaking rules, but at the same time, we're pretty thin at nickel and OLB and I really don't want Swann and Drew getting the sniffles while their trying to rush the passer and cover a tight end.

Just in case, there's a hefty supply of Dimetapp and Tylenol Flu in the Krogers off of Alps. Make sure and don't take too much of that stuff, as it's really, really easy to enjoy that delicious grape flavor to excess and be late to yet another study hall... or dinner three days later.

  1. Buck up troops. You can't name the weather you play in any more than the weather you practice in. You guys have immune systems that are akin to a water buffalo. Running in the rain is good for your discipline. If it's punishment, all the better. You will think twice next go round. But why would Dream Team members be running punishment? Gotta be more to this story.

Wonder why all our troops in the service aren't out sick after training in the rain?

  2. Ray, this has to be infinitely better than standing too close to Grantham during the game.Look on the bright side, if you catch a cold, you can't smell a thing.
