Gators DL Easley Being Investigated for Beatdown

This report sounds extremely sketchy, but it's good enough for me to poke fun at the Gators here, as we suffered our own, albeit less violent (luckily), batch of bad news this weekend. From what I can gather, the Saurians of the Swamp's starting DT is currently being investigated for beating down former Bama player, Reggie Myles, a WR for the Bengals.

Here's an excerpt of the story (from GatorSports.com):

Police said their attempts to get Florida defensive lineman Dominique Easley's version of what happened early Sunday between him and a former University of Alabama football player have stalled after Easley retained an attorney.

Former Crimson Tide and Cincinnati Bengals player Reggie Myles filed a complaint with the University of Florida Police Department alleging he was attacked by Easley.

Easley is being represented by Huntley Johnson, a Gainesville lawyer with extensive experience representing UF athletes.

The answer is yes, on whether or not you've heard of this... Huntley Johnson before. He's the same guy that has been in the UF athletic department's hip pocket for the past 10 years. He sure can help guys plead down charges. It's probably because he teaches them the U.S. Constitution.

On Tuesday afternoon, when Johnson was asked why Easley had hired an attorney, he said, “probablybecause he read the (U.S.) Constitution. It's his right.”

Yeah Huntley, I'm sure that Easley (or for that matter 75% of his college class) knows what the difference is in The Bill of Rights and the Articles of Confederation.
