Bet the Farm Friday (October 7)

(Note: Bet the Farm Friday or (BTFF) will run every Friday with the implied assumption that a) FH2H doesn't encourage gambling, b) we only encourage sports betting where legal, AND c) there are a lot of online sportsbooks available that are ambiguous on the legality so it should be okay...wait, did I say that out loud...nevermind....moving on....)

This is one of the more tougher weeks I can remember when it comes to picking games. But you know what...the show must go on (home team in CAPS):

1. Auburn at ARKANSAS (-10)
I know Auburn had an impressive victory over South Carolina last weekend, but that game was fully Garcia-aided. Arkansas is coming off an impressive comeback victory over Texas A&M, and has a TON of weapons on offense. Remember, Auburn could easily have about three more losses this season (Utah State, Miss State, and S. Car.) and Arkansas's only stumbling block came against mighty Alabama. Look the the Hogs to run wild against the Plainsmen. Dawgola's Pick: Arkansas (-10)

2. Texas A&M at TEXAS TECH (+9.5)
The H2H guys called A&M being a fraud before the season started. And despite the two close losses, the Aggies have never played particularly well in Lubbock. Meanwhile Texas Tech is trying to get back some of their Mike Leach-era dominance, and I expect them to put up a great effort at home. I'm not sure they can pull off the upset but they should battle and keep it close. Dawgola's Pick: Texas Tech (+9.5)

3. TCU at San Diego State (+4.5)
I love Gary Patterson, but TCU is simply trying to replace too many starters from last season for me. They lost at home last week to SMU, and their defense has already shown vulnerability to good quarterbacks (RG3 anyone?). San Diego State has had two weeks to prepare, and has one of the best QB's you've never heard of in Ryan Lindley. It wouldn't shock me for SDSU to pull off the upset at home. Dawgola's Pick: San Diego State (+4.5)
