Tweet O' The Day: When Will Robinson Return? We Know.

This TOTD post involves the wife of a legendary Dawg coach and a current player. How is that possible? Well, it may surprised you, but there are no weird Springer-worthy love triangles, way overused and off-color "Your Mama" jokes, or JoeT team field trip to Curves off Atlanta highway. The saintly Mrs. Barbara Dooley just so happens to be involved here, but she does her best to crack her red-tinted veneer.

That's October 8th, or 4 weeks from the day of injury on Saturday. If I had to bet my bottom dollar, that week could mean a huge boost to our linebacking corps. I would guess there's an outside shot that Robinson and Ogletree may be well enough to return that day. There's a better chance that Robinson will be well enough by then, as a foot fracture like Ogletree's might take as long 8 weeks to heal.

I've heard that they're shooting for the Florida game for Tree, but it's anyone's guess really. I guess we'll have to leave that up to Courson and his staff. I don't think rushing either of these would be a good idea long term.

Any way you slice it, we have absolutely zero experienced depth at linebacker. The Kent Turene deal is really hurting and, as I predicted, he would've played A TON by now. It's a very good thing that we have a touch easier schedule coming up the next two weeks. If this were middle of the season stuff, the outlook might be even more gloomy than it already is.

  1. We can take Tenn by stacking 8 in the box. But for Florida, we'd prefer CRob & Ogletree & Jones because of the speed of the backs.
