Friday Links: Miss. State, Keith Marshall, and More

Two 2-2 teams will face off in Sanford Saturday, one looking to avoid sliding into a hole in the SEC East race, while the other tries to simply win its first conference game of the year. UGA will attempt to avenge last season's loss in Starkville, as Miss. State looks to regain the promise from last years 9-4 season.

Here are a few links to prime you for Saturday's game in Athens and a few from around the country.

  • Yahoo Sports seems to think the upcoming Bulldog schedule holds few conference wins in their weekly team report.
  • It appears that UGA may see more of a 2 man rotation at running back against the Bizzaro Dogs this year.
  • Christian Robinson is aware that the Georgia defense will need to be tough against the run, and talks about what they must do to win Saturday.
  • Punter Drew Butler has been named as a candidate for the 2011 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Award.
  • Tennessee athletic director Dave Hart believes the SEC will continue its expansion, but we kinda figured that much.
  • Florida's Charlie Weis defends play-calling and claims the playbook will be opened wide for Saturday's game against Alabama.
  • Apparently LSU defensive backs enjoy winning National Player of the Week awards, also bar house kickboxer Jordan Jefferson returns to the team yesterday.
  • Shockingly, the charges against FSU cornerback and former UGA recruit Greg Reid have been dropped.
  • Three SEC football players are on ESPN's Heisman Watch List through four weeks of the season, Stanford quarterback Luck still number one by default.
  • TechSideline.com thoroughly breaks down what could be one of the best games of the weekend in VT vs. Clemson.
  • Oh and by the way 2012 running back Keith Marshall out of North Carolina is a must get for the Bulldogs. Just checkout these highlights. Fast as greased lightning.
