66 Days: Kolton Houston AND Hunter Long

It's 66 days to kickoff people and today marks one of the most special days in our countdown. We have TWO - count 'em - TWO players to preview today. There are only 8 other days in which you'll get this kind of action, so you better take advantage of it.

Today's two featured future phenoms (you liked that alliteration didn't you) are #'s 66 and, well... 66, Kolton Houston and Hunter Long. These two are both listed on the depth chart at OG, both carry the same number, and both have the same secret crush - Mayim Bialik, better known as that chick from Blossom. I'm quite sure they wouldn't want you knowing that, as you can see:

Which one is Johnny Depp? I can't tell...

I can't tell, but if you can please let me know.

At any rate, I feel without any doubt that Hunter and Kolton could form one hell of a tag team duo. With the amount of competition amongst the two, I can imagine quite a formidable fighting force for the likes of those sissies on the WWE now. In fact, let's talk about some of the ultimate tag teams of all time (w/video):
  • Harlem Heat: You don't get much better than Booker T, Stevie Ray, and 15 World Tag Team titles.
  • The Bush Wackers: Let's face it, wrestling hasn't been this interesting in years. Jesse Ventura, Jimmy Hart, Tony Schiavone, and a whole lotta arm swangin'.
  • The Steiner Brothers: Scott, Rick, and some HGH and we got ourselves a party.
  • Road Warriors: Does anyone really need me to paint a picture here?
  • The Hart Foundation: One of the more forgotten all-time great tag teams. You can't deny Hitman and Anvil, as Anvil had some of the best facial hair of any wrestler of all time.
  • The Outsiders: Scott Hall and Kevin Nash? I'm still scared.
  • Gene and Ole Anderson: These guys are the gold standard, the ones that the rest of these guys modeled their game after.
Now that you've got your daily wrestling fix, let's talk some football.

Forecast
The fact that Hunter and Kolton have the same number and are potentially staked at the same position could mean four things. Basically it all revolves around the same principle for both players, they can't both play at the same time, so who's going to either change their number or take the redshirt? Since Kolton's already taken the 'shirt, I don't guess he'll be getting another one.

Basically, this boils down to Hunter is definitely redshirting or will be good enough to change his number and play over Kolton. There is the slight chance that Houston will be a backup at tackle, but at this point he looks to me like a tall guard. So, there you have it. Either which way it works out, I don't see these guys getting anything more time than what's needed to give our starters some rest, if at all.

Next up: Day 65, as there's not a player... again.
