NFL Scouting Combine Workouts Start Saturday

NFL Network's annual coverage of the NFL Scouting Combine will begin this Thursday as players have press conferences and weigh in and take measurements. Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will be the home for this year's festivities, just as the city has been every year since 1987. Tuesday will round out coverage with the final day of positional drills and workouts.

The schedule is as follows:

Saturday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.- Kickers, O-Line, and Tight Ends
Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Running Backs, Quarter Backs, and Wide Receivers
Monday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Linebackers and Defensive Linemen
Tuesday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Cornerbacks (Two groups)

This year there were quite a few invites that Dawg fans would be interested in seeing. In fact, this year there will be at least one Georgia player represented every day of coverage. I'd say the eight that received invites are the most in quite a long time.

UGA and LSU led the conference in invites with eight each. Pretty funny considering the discrepancy in the two team's respective overall records (UGA 6-7 & LSU 11-2). Nationally that total would rank 6th as Ohio State, Iowa, Miami, Nebraska, and North Carolina had more invitees. UNC led the way with a whopping 12, which was three more than any other team will have represented in Indy.

Here are the eight in order of the day they'll appear.

Saturday: Josh Davis, Clint Boling
Sunday: Shaun Chapas, A.J. Green
Monday: Akeem Dent, Demarcus Dobbs, Justin Houston
Tuesday: Vance Cuff
