Looks Like Dawgs Found a Good One

Though as of the writing of this post late-"Jers-day" evening (If you don't know about Jersey Shore nevermind) nothing is official from UGA, it looks like Kirk Olivadotti of the Washington Redskins has filled the vacancy Warren Belin left on the defensive staff. For a quick bio, look no further.

As best as I can tell, this is a fantastic hire for the new staff. He's been around football all of his life and has rubbed shoulders with some great defensive minds in Ray Rhodes, Marvin Lewis, and Gregg Williams. He proved his chops by coaching Skins rookie Brian Orakpo to an absolutely monstrous rookie campaign that led to a Pro-Bowl nod.

In an effort to further legitimize his skill in life, he named his kids Kasyn and Kruz. With his wife being named Keely, he has shown his ultimate alliterative powers can only surpassed by the Apex Alliterative Assassin, Jeff Lindsay. If you don't know to whom I'm referring, look up the names of the "Dexter" series of novels. You'll get the picture.

I think the Dawgs have set some great things in motion this offseason. Two great hires, a great recruiting class, and some renewed optimism has been experienced. In all I'm hopeful, yet the last few seasons leave me extremely cautious. Hopefully that schedule will play to our advantage.
