SEC Basketball Info...

We're still rolling along with our basketball theme today, so I decided to look at who/what each team has coming back in terms of point and rebound production. More specifically, I decided to break down each team in terms of what percentage of their scoring and rebounding is returning this season:

Here are all the teams and their 09-10 TEAM POINTS PER GAME, THEIR PERCENTAGE OF POINTS RETURNING (IN BOLD), and HOW MANY PPG ARE LOST FROM LAST YEAR.

The rebounding numbers look similar as well. The numbers are 09-10 REBOUNDS PER GAME, REBOUNDS PER GAME LOST FROM LAST YEAR, and PERCENTAGE OF REBOUNDING RETURNING (IN BOLD):

As you can see, Florida and Georgia have quite a bit returning. Hopefully the experience will outweigh the fresh talent Kentucky and Tennessee will have this season. I'm sure we'll get into more detail about the other teams as the season approaches, but this is just one more reason to be optimistic (albeit cautiously) about the Dawgs' upcoming basketball season. (Note: Would I have done this if our football team was not 1-3.....probably not, but they are so....roundball is only five weeks away!)
