Best Conference so Far?

Here is each conference's record in non-conference FBS (1-A) games thus far. No surprise who has the best winning percentage...

Here are all the BCS conferences first (winning %):

SEC
: 19-2 (90.5%)
Big 12: 28-5 (84.8%)
Big Ten: 25-7 (78.1%)
Pac-10: 14-9 (60.9%)
ACC: 10-11 (47.6%)
Big East: 6-13 (31.6%)

And here are the "non-BCS" conferences' records in non-conference FBS games:

Independents: 5-5 (50%)
Mountain West
: 9-13 (40.9%)
WAC: 9-16 (36%)
Conference USA: 10-18 (35.7%)
MAC: 5-25 (16.6%)
Sun Belt
: 2-18 (10%)

Here are the poor, hapless, FBS teams that have lost to FCS teams (score):

James Madison over Virginia Tech (21-16)
North Dakota State over Kansas (6-3)
Gardner-Webb over Akron (38-37)
Liberty over Ball State (27-23)
Jacksonville State over Ole Miss (49-48)

Obviously, there are more non-conference games to be played, but the above is a pretty good indicator that the SEC is still number 1, despite some teams being "down" (uh, Georgia, Tennessee anyone?).
